I have been signed up as a member of vocalpoint probably since the beginning. About every month or so, they send out a sample of something or a coupon to get a product for free. They also send coupons for you to hand out. Most of the products happen to be from Kashi, free waffles, free cereal etc.

5 Below

Okay, my friends think I am crazy when I call a company to complain about something. If I am not satisfied with something, I look for the consumer hotline number on the box and call them and complain about their product. About 99% of the time, the customer service rep says they are sorry I was disappointed and they will send a coupon for a free product or a refund of my money. For example, the latest complaint that I emailed about was for 5 Below. I shop there a lot and spend a lot of money there. Everytime I go there, they ask me for my email address so they can "email me coupons". I told them they have my address and I never get a coupon! I emailed them and they responded saying that they were sorry that I was "misled" to believe that I would get a coupon, they said they don't email coupons. BUT, for my disappointment, they will send me a $15 gift card! Another time, I bought mussels and about 1/3 of them didn't open. You got it, I called the company and they sent me a refund. There you go, don't hesitate to complain to a company if you are disappointed in anything.

Harry Connick Jr's new cd Your Songs!

I recently received the new Harry Connick Jr cd called "Your songs!" When I received it, my husband saw the songs on the cd and said 2 of his favorite songs were on there. He put it in the cd player to listen to it. My kids were listening also and wanted to know why we were playing Christmas music in September! What do you expect from kids! LOL! I listened to the cd a few times and I like it. Who doesn't like Harry Connick Jr? He has a great voice! There is only one thing that disappointed me. The songs are popular songs, sung by original artists as Elton John, Billy Joel etc., and I am used to hearing the original artist singing them. My husband agreed, he loves Billy Joel's "Just the way you are" but he said that it just wasn't the same, although he did enjoy the cd. I think this cd will be one that I play in the background at family dinners...like Christmas!

Ebates.com

When you sign up for ebates.com, you earn a percentage of your online purchase. The percentage depends on the store. All you do after you sign up is, log in, look for the store that you want to purchase from and click on it. Ebates automatically takes you to the store and you just order as usual. You then get a big, fat check every 3 months. I have earned about $200 by using ebates just for shopping on line! They also have lots of coupon codes that go along with the store you are shopping in.

Swagbucks.com

Swagbucks is just like google, search and you could earn a buck! You can then redeem the bucks for gift cards or prizes!

Shop-rite

Here is my hint for the day, check your Shop-rite receipt. If anything scans wrong, go to customer service, and you will get the item for free! Today, I saw a sign for Thomas 12 pack of english muffins for $1.99. They rung up as $4.99. I told them there was a sign that said they were $1.99, they checked it and I got them for free. I check my receipt every time and probably 7 out of 10 times, something rang up at the wrong price.
